Freshwater Creek is now safe following a second Brinsmead sewage spill.
It comes after an incident on Tuesday night last week (April 21), which forced the closure of the creek for swimming or fishing.
Water quality testing has now been conducted and deemed safe for recreational use by the council.

The spill last week was the second at the site in less than a fortnight.
