Forensic crash unit investigate after Edge Hill man killed in early‑morning rollover

Police are investigating a fatal single‑vehicle crash at Etheridge after a Hilux rolled on Gulf Development Road early Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Richmond Road around 4.45am, where a 65‑year‑old Edge Hill man, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. The driver, a 34‑year‑old Gordonvale man, was taken to hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is examining the circumstances and is urging anyone with information or dashcam vision to come forward.
