McDonald’s Australia is launching a new take on their iconic Happy Meal, with the introduction of the Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal. Starting 28 August, families can enjoy a collection of 16 miniature toys designed to capture the magic of McDonald’s in a fun, bite-sized way.
The new Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal aims to bring a piece of the McDonald’s experience into homes, featuring toys such as a mini cash register, a tiny Drive Thru, a miniature PlayPlace, and even a golden Happy Meal box. Each toy includes interactive features like push buttons, sticker sheets, and collector cards, all inspired by McDonald’s iconic restaurant setting.
Amanda Nakad, McDonald’s Australia’s Marketing Director of Menu and Brand, described the concept as a tribute to the creativity of families. “A Happy Meal has always been a moment of joy, a spark of imagination, and a shared experience for families. With Lil McDonald’s, we’re celebrating the creativity of our families who’ve turned living rooms into Drive-Thrus and backyard cubbies into McDonald’s kitchens. This Happy Meal is a tribute to that make-believe magic – helping families create new memories, big and small, that last forever.”
The Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal will include the usual meal options – a choice of 3 or 6-piece Chicken McNuggets, Hamburger, Cheeseburger, or Grilled Chicken Snack Wrap. These will be paired with Apple Slices or Small Fries and a Small Drink, all presented in a specially designed Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal box.
The promotion will run nationwide from Thursday 28 August, but McDonald’s advises customers to act quickly, as the mini collectables will only be available while stocks last. Families can look forward to a smaller take on the iconic Happy Meal, packed with creativity and nostalgia.
