A woman has been charged following an alleged assault at Atherton Hospital.
The 54-year-old was visiting a person when she was asked by staff to remove a caged chicken from the hospital on Sunday.
She is accused of becoming aggressive towards the staff member grabbing her by the arm causing bruising.

It will further be alleged the woman has then started hitting the staff member to the back of the head before she was restrained by other staff members and then arrested by police.
The 54-year-old Mt Garnet woman is expected to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on October 12, charged with serious assault of a public officer performing function causing bodily harm.
