A man and woman are being accused of assaulting two people in Cairns.
It’s alleged four people assaulted a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, after breaking into a unit on Mcleod Street on Sunday.
Police say they demanded money from the occupants before leaving empty handed.
The occupants both received minor injuries.
A 22-year-old man has since been charged with a string of offences and will face court in April.
He has been charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of threatening violence and one count of enter dwelling.
While a 19-year-old woman has also been charged and is due in court on March 31.
She has been charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of threatening violence and one count of enter dwelling.
It will be alleged the pair was known to the occupants.
Investigations are ongoing.
