Three teenagers were allegedly involved in an armed robbery at a convenience store in Earlville, threatening a staff member with scissors and a knife.
Police say three boys entered the business at around 7.30pm on Monday and stole the cash drawer from a register before fleeing on foot.
Officers from Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch located the boys at a Mooroobool address at around 10.30pm and took them into custody.

A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy have each been charged with one count of armed robbery in company with violence.
The third boy was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
