A teen has been arrested this morning over the alleged assault of a 63-year-old man in Cairns.
It will be alleged around 11.50pm, March 13, the victim was walking on Lake Street past a group of juveniles when the boy has allegedly blocked his path before verbally abusing the man and taking his phone.
Police say a small scuffle broke out, and the boy punched the man who fell to the ground before being transported to hospital.

The boy allegedly fled the scene, but has since been arrested.
He was charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and will appear in Cairns Childrens Court.
