Investigations are underway after police divers recovered what appears to be human remains in Mossman Gorge.
Police divers recovered the remains after a member of the public made the grim discovery.
It is believed they could belong to a Victorian woman who was swept away in January.

A 10 day search and rescue operation was carried out but never found the woman.
Divers will return to the gorge today, with forensic investigations continuing to establish the origin of the remains.
Mossman Gorge will remain open to the public.
