A woman has died following a single‑vehicle rollover near the Daintree Ferry crossing, with police now working to piece together what happened on the remote Far North Queensland road.
Emergency crews were called to Cape Tribulation Road just after 6.30pm on Sunday night, after reports a white Toyota Hilux had struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof at Kimberley.
The driver, a 43‑year‑old woman and the only person in the vehicle, was tragically declared dead at the scene.

Forensic Crash Unit officers have begun a full investigation into the circumstances leading up to the rollover, including what may have caused the vehicle to leave the road.
