A 40-year-old Mount Sheridan woman has been charged after allegedly driving drunk and disqualified in Earlville on Wednesday.
Cairns Highway Patrol stopped the unregistered Jeep on Mulgrave Road just before 11:30am. Police allege after the woman parked the vehicle; she tried to swap seats with a 14-year-old passenger before failing a breath test.
Police say the 40-year-old also drove while disqualified and in an unregistered vehicle. The car was immobilised for 90 days, and she’ll appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on August 13.
