Hollywood star Matt Damon has touched down in Queensland, making a discreet stop at Cairns International Airport before heading to the Whitsundays for a summer getaway.
Newscorp reports tracking data shows Damon’s private jet landed early Thursday morning, cleared customs, refuelled, and continued on to Hamilton Island. The actor remained onboard, keeping a low profile during the brief stopover.
The visit adds to Damon’s long-running connection with Australia, which he has described as his “second home.” He is known to favour Queensland and Byron Bay for family holidays, often spending time with close friend Chris Hemsworth.
