The young boy refused to go with the man, who then fled from Buccaneer Street to Voyager Street on Sunday morning..

It is possible the man had a vehicle parked in Voyager Street or nearby.

The child was not physically harmed or grabbed by the man and immediately told adults about the incident, who alerted police.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 30-years-old, with blond hair, blue eyes and wearing a light blue singlet and light-coloured shorts.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have observed a male fitting the above description, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area to immediately contact them.
