A 31-year-old man has been charged after allegedly chasing his neighbor and striking her with a baseball bat, in a Mount Sheridan backyard.
Police say residents were sitting around a fire-pit when the man peered over the fence and then climbed up and sat on top of it.
A 40-year-old woman yelled at the him to leave, before he allegedly jumped into the yard and chased her and the others at the gathering.

It’s further alleged the man then struck the woman multiple times with the baseball bat.
The woman sought medical treatment for minor burns to her legs and facial and arm injuries.
The 31-year-old Mount Sheridan man has was charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on August 12.
