Two boys have been charged after a 61-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in Cairns.
It’s alleged the pair entered a Marlin Parade apartment complex and set off a fire extinguisher in a stairwell, before fleeing from the building on Sunday.
One of the boys is accused of biting 61-year-old man before spitting at him.
The victim called police whoa arrived and arrested the pair.
A 12-year-old Earlville boy was charged with four counts of serious assault and one count each of wilful damage, public nuisance, trespass and possession of a knife in a public place.
A 10-year-old Gordonvale boy was charged with one count each of wilful damage, public nuisance, trespass and possession of a knife in a public place.
Both boys will appear before Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
