A girl accused of an assault in Cairns has been charged.
Police say the girl was part of a group who stalked two women before assaulting them near the corner of Shields Street and Lake Street on September 26, 2022.
The victims were helped by members of the public until emergency services arrived.

An extensive investigation has seen a 14-year-old girl charged with two counts each of stalking and attempted robbery, four counts of stealing, and one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and possess utensil.
She will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
