Four teenage girls have been charged over an alleged break-in at a Trinity Beach unit which resulted in a car theft.
Detectives from the Cairns Property Crime Squad arrested the four teenage girls yesterday, after they allegedly entered a Trinity Beach unit on Tuesday.
It’s alleged car keys were stolen from the dining table and a Mitsubishi Outlander was stolen sometime overnight.
The vehicle was recovered yesterday afternoon by police and the four teens were arrested.
A 17-year-old Manoora girl was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and obstruct.
A 16-year-old Edmonton girl was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.
A 15-year-old Westcourt girl and a 17-year-old Bentley Park girl were each charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
All are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Childrens Court.
