Appeals for public assistance after alleged assault and robbery, Earlville

Footage has been released of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into an alleged assault and theft, at Earlville.

Police say a 46-year-old Earlville man was riding his pushbike along Balaclava Road, at 3.47am on May 18, when he was approached from behind by another cyclist.

It’s alleged the other cyclist pushed the man from the bicycle causing him to fall to the ground where he was then assaulted.

Officers say the offender stole the man’s backpack before fleeing.

Police have released vision of a person seen in the vicinity that they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
