On 29 October 2025, St John’s Community Care will hold its annual Seniors Celebration at Redlynch as a community event.

The event will include a luncheon and provide an opportunity to acknowledge and show appreciation for seniors.

St John’s is dedicated to improving the lives of people of all ages through intergenerational collaboration.  The Redlynch Pre-school group will be part of the entertainment program, showcasing their talent.

Along with being enjoyable, intergenerational entertainment programs are beneficial to the lives of both children and seniors, as well as society as a whole.  The entertainment program will also feature Big Jim, who engages attendees in singing and dancing.

Service provider information stalls will display their offerings and work collaboratively to connect services with people in need. Last year, St John’s Seniors Celebration attracted 150 attendees, including people from regional and remote communities such as the Cassowary Coast and the Tablelands area.
