Business Liaison Association
The Business Liaison Association (BLA) has been connecting education and industry in Far North Queensland since 1993, playing a vital role in helping young people understand career pathways, build real‑world skills and connect with local employers.
As a not‑for‑profit organisation, the BLA works closely with secondary schools, training providers, employers and industry leaders to deliver programs that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Their work reaches thousands of students each year across Cairns, the Tablelands and surrounding regions, creating opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
What the BLA Does
The BLA delivers a wide range of initiatives designed to educate, inspire and connect young people with future careers, including:
- The Annual Careers & Education Expo
- Industry breakfasts, seminars and site visits
- The Visiting Experts Program
- Student recognition programs such as the DATTA Awards and Aspire Awards
These programs are made possible through the support of local businesses and sponsors who share a commitment to developing the next generation of the Far North Queensland workforce.
Proud Elite Sponsors
Star 102.7 and 4CA are proud Elite Sponsors of the Business Liaison Association, supporting its mission to educate, connect and empower young people across the region. As Elite Sponsors, we help promote key BLA initiatives, amplify important events such as the Careers Expo and celebrate student achievement and success stories across our platforms.
As local, live and community‑focused broadcasters, supporting the BLA aligns perfectly with our commitment to strengthening local communities, supporting education and helping young people see the opportunities available right here in FNQ.
Building a Stronger Future Together
Through our partnership with the Business Liaison Association, Star 102.7 and 4CA are proud to help connect students with opportunity, businesses with future talent, and education with industry, because when young people are supported, the entire region benefits.
