Renewed appeals for information into a fatal traffic crash which claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman and a baby, south of Port Douglas.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash which occurred at Oak Beach on the Captain Cook Highway around 4.00pm on May 22.
Initial investigations indicate a white Mitsubishi Triton Ute struck a red Mazda MX-5 before colliding with a white MG3 hatchback.
The driver of the MG, a 34-year-old Mossman woman, and an infant passenger died at the scene.
A 22-year-old female passenger was airlifted to Cairns Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the utility, a 62-year-old Port Douglas man, was transported to Cairns Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mazda, a 54-year-old Trinity Beach man, and his passenger, a 57-year-old Trinity Beach woman, did not sustain any physical injuries.
Police are urging anyone who was on the Captain Cook Highway and witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam of the vehicles in the lead up to the crash, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
