A man has passed away after a boat sunk off Rocky Point Beach in the Douglas Shire.
Police were called to the incident around 4:20pm on Saturday (April 11), it’s believed the 67-year-old Newell man drowned in the incident.
He was given first aid at the scene but was declared deceased.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
