Flickerfest, Australia’s largest short film festival, is thrilled to return to Cairns as part of its 2025 national tour, bringing an exceptional lineup of award-winning and much-loved festival favourites to The Botanic Gardens.

Audiences can look forward to two unmissable programmes, Best of Australian Shorts and Short Laughs Comedy, featuring the very best in storytelling from around the world and fresh, exciting local talent.

On Friday 3rd October at 7:30pm, our Best Of Australian Shorts program lights up the screen with incredible stories from across the country. Then on Saturday 4th October at 7:30pm, it’s all about the laughs with our Short Laughs Comedy showcase.
