A crime scene has been declared as investigators work to find the cause of a fire that ripped through a home at Innisfail.
Emergency services rushed to the Palmerston Drive home at 5.30 yesterday morning, finding it engulfed in flames.
A 50 year old man was pulled out from the home – later rushed to hospital with life threatening burns to his body.

Two other people were assessed but didn’t need to go to hospital.
The blaze put out just under an hour later.
