A 36-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home in Edmonton and then trying to resell the stolen goods the very next day.
Police allege the man forced entry into a Deppeler Road home on Friday, July 25, stealing various items before taking them to a Cairns pawn shop on Saturday.
He was arrested later that afternoon at a property on O’Driscoll Close, and has now been charged with one count of burglary (enter dwelling) and two counts of fraud.
The man is set to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on August 12.
Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward.
