Man Charged Over Theft Of Booze And Fuel
A Manoora man has been linked to the theft of alcohol and fuel.
Cairns Property Crime Squad officers wewnt to a home in Lomax Street, Mooroobool at about 10.30am on Monday and apprehended a 23-year-old Manoora man in relation to a series of property offences.
Police will allege the man forced entry to a business in Anderson Street, Manunda on April 9 before stealing a vehicle.
It’s further alleged the vehicle was used to steal fuel from a business in Clifton Beach before stealing a large quantity of spirits from a Stratford liquor store sometime between April 9 and 10.
Police will allege the man attempted to run from police at the Lomax Street property, however officers quickly apprehended the man.
He was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter and commit and obstruct and two counts of attempted enter and commit and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
