Drug charges, Mareeba

Mareeba Road Policing Unit (RPU) officers charged a 35-year-old Rocky Point man on Friday with one count each of possess dangerous drugs in schedule 2 exceeding schedule 3 quantity, possess dangerous drug in schedule 1

exceeding schedule 3 quantity, possess relevant thing, possess pipe that had been used and possess utensil for use.

 

It will be alleged Mareeba RPU officers intercepted the man’s four wheel drive on the Kennedy Highway, Mareeba about 10.20pm on Friday for a roadside drug test.

 

It’s further alleged officers located a large quantity of cannabis, a quantity of methylamphetamine, mobile phone, pipe and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle during a search.

 

He is expected to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on March 26.
