Girls charged over Bentley Park club break-in
Officers investigating the forced entry of a Robert Road Australian Rules football club premise early yesterday morning have charged three teenage girls.
It will be alleged that a stolen vehicle was used to crash through the front doors of the complex at around 4.30am on Wednesday, causing significant damage to the building.
A quantity of liquor was stolen from the facility and the offenders fled in the vehicle, which was later located in a damaged condition on Caesar Street. A second stolen vehicle believed to be also involved in the incident was located shortly afterward on Kangaroo Street.
The three girls, aged 14, 15 and 16 from Earlville, Edmonton and Bentley Park, were located and taken into custody at various locations yesterday and have been charged with numerous offences including breaking and entering premises, burglary, unlawful use of motor vehicles, receiving tainted property and wilful damage.
Investigations into the incidents are continuing
