Search Continuing At Kuranda For Bushwalker Missing Since Sunday
A desperate search and rescue operation has been launched for a 38-year-old man missing in rainforest around Kuranda.
The man was reported missing to police on Monday morning after failing to return from a bushwalk on November 12.
Police hold concerns for his welfare as it believed he has no access to food or water and is not wearing proper clothing for the terrain.
The search and rescue operation commenced on Monday, but there has been no sign of him so far.
The search recommenced at first light on Tuesday at 7.00am with police and personnel from the State Emergency Service conducting a land search of the area.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, is of a slim build with blue eyes and was last seen wearing an orange or yellow short sleeved button up shirt, dark coloured shorts and black thongs.
