Building materials airlifted into The Arrows
Helicopters will be flying low over Mount Whitfield over the next two days, dropping in materials to build a fourth walking track.
The Yellow Arrow is under construction, due for completion in November.
Councillor Terry James says most of the cutting-in of the path is complete
"The material to be lifted in includes the panels and beams for stairs, gravel, and construction equipment, so the heavy construction equipment that they use will be lifted in as well," Councillor James says.
Council advises there will be no access between the Blue and Red Arrows, with walkers only able to get to the Blue Arrow via the Green.
