Labor spruiks job creation in Cairns
The State Government says the proof is in the pudding that it's job creation program is working.
Figures show nearly 1500 people have been employed in the Far North, since the start of Back-to-Work program was rolled out.
It's an initiative that pays businesses to take on more staff.
About half of those new jobs have gone to 15 to 24-year-olds.
