Downpour on its way
Heavy rain is expected to arrive along the North and Central Queensland coast later today, with the Bureau of Meteorology already issuing a Flood Watch for catchments from Cairns down to Gladstone.
The bulk of the wet weather is expected in Cairns tomorrow.
BOM says widespread rainfall totals between 100 and 200 milimetres are possible but it appears the Far North won't be as impacted as areas south.
