Two teens charged over property crime spree in Trinity Beach
A crime spree has been brought to an end for two Cairns teens.
Police have charged two 17-year-old boys over multiple alleged burglaries and vehicle thefts in Trinity Beach.
A Parramatta Park boy has been charged with 21 offences; nine counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, eight counts of burglary and two counts each of entering a premises and attempting to enter a dwelling.
The teen is also accused of committing property offences in Clifton Beach, Bungalow, Mount Sheridan and Gordonvale between May 20 and May 24.
His bail was refused and he is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court.
The second boy from Mooroobool was charged with 11 offences including four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, five counts of burglary and two counts of attempting to enter a dwelling.
He is also scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court.
Investigations are continuing.
