Teen trio charged over Cairns crime spree

Three teenage girls have been charged with 21 offences after a spate of property crimes across Cairns..

Police say a 15 year-old girl broke into an apartment on Upward street and stole a car.

She has been charged with a string of offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and burglary.

A second 15-year-old girl has also been charged, after allegedly stopping a car at a Parramatta Park petrol station, filling it up and driving off on April 9.

While another 15-year-old is also facing unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving charges.

They will all appear in the Cairns Children’s Court later this month.
