Four charged over Flying Fish Point armed robbery

Charges have been laid after a Flying Fish Point business was held up at gun-point.

Police say a man pulled a replica handgun on an employee at the Elizabeth Street store on Monday afternoon, before he and three others took off with cash.

Later that night, police located and arrested two Innisfail men aged 19 and 20, and a 19-year-old South Innisfail woman.

The 19-year-old man was later charged with one count each of armed robbery, burglary, driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and learning to drive without a supervisor.

He is scheduled to re-appear at Innisfail Magistrates Court on November 29.

The 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman have beenr charged with one count each of burglary and armed robbery.

The man will re-appear at Innisfail Magistrates Court on November 29, while the woman will appear on October 25.

Meanwhile, at 2:30pm yesterday, a 31-year-old Innisfail man surrendered himself to police.

He has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and burglary and is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court today.
