Tablelands man dies in ATV Rollover

A North Queensland was killed when an ATV buggy rolled near Mount Molloy on Saturday afternoon.

Around 3.45pm, three people were travelling in the ATV on Quaid Road, seven kilometres east of the Mulligan Highway, when the vehicle rolled.

A Tablelands man in his 20’s, died at the scene and two other people were taken to Mareeba Hospital with minor injuries.

Quaid Road (also known as Southedge-Wangetti Road) is a controversial private bitumen sealed road that has public access through the Kuranda rainforest.

Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating.
