Love the palms, but dodge the coconuts!
Not everyone loves them, but coconut palms are an icon of our beautiful tropical beaches. They certainly come at a cost to the local councils, with programs to ensure that locals and tourist are not hit by a falling nut - they are potentially fatal. So what about coconut palms on private land, with the potential to fall onto a neighbouring property? Or even worse, onto public walkways beside private properties - who's responsible then?
