Bob Brown Convoy a fail for the protesters?
This morning in the Breakfast Show I had an opportunity to catch up with Kelly Vea Vea, Deputy Mayor of the Isaac Regional Council. Now that the dust has settled on the Bob Brown Anti Adani Convoy, a poll has indicated that the convoy may have done more harm than good for the Greens. Kelly's council region covers the area of the proposed Adani Carmichael mine, many existing coal mines, plus two new mines that are likely to start operations soon. Why does Adani always command the media attention, and how does the Deputy Mayor negotiate the politics and local demands of such a hot issue.
It was refreshing to hear an objective and balanced approach on the issue from someone on the ground in this region, and with what some may deem to be an interesting political alignment. Hear what Kelly had to say here:
