Is this an 'unbridled' option to connect Cairns and the Tablelands?
This morning in the Breakfast Show I caught up with Member for Kennedy Bob Katter. As we well know, the Kuranda Range Road is a problem that just won't go away, and expanding the existing road is not likely to be viable. So an alternative route to connect the farms, mining and industries to the west and north of Cairns with our the port and CBD will really open up economic opportunites, and importantly, help widen our economic base.
A concept to build a new road through the Bridle Creek area near Copperload Dam might just be worth further investigation. Listen to what Bob Katter had to say here:
