What a bushfire Royal Commission should consider
Pardon the pun, but it has certainly been a hot subject in recent weeks. Despite some suggesting that it has not been an 'unprecedented' bushfire season, all the indicators (including the fact that 18,000, 000 acres have been destroyed) show that Australia has never seen anything of this magnitude before. The role that hazard reduction plays in our future strategies has possibly been widely misunderstood, but definitely needs to be considered in any future Royal Commission.
