Strangulation - The real impact on victims

This morning Health Minister Cameron Dick was my guest on the Breakfast Show. It was an uncomfortable subject to talk about, but the rate of deliberate choking offences (technically called non-lethal strangulation) in our region is quite disturbing. Shamefully, we are way above the state average.

One of the most concerning things about starngulation, sometimes the real impacts do not become evident until quite some time after the incident occurs. As a community, what can we do about this? Listen to what the Health Minister had to say here:
