A man accused of assaulting two police officers at Manunda has been charged.
Police investigating a single-vehicle crash on Hoare Street were called to an English Street property on Monday night.
Upon arrival, it’s alleged a 44-year-old man became aggressive towards police and struggled violently with officers.
A taser was used to arrest the man, with two officers taken to hospital suffering head injuries.
The man is facing two counts of serious assault police and one count of possess knife in a public place.
He’s due in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 6.
Investigations are continuing.
