A unit fire at Palm Cove has left a person in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the apartment on Veivers Road around 12.20pm yesterday, after a chopping board was left on a stove.
Paramedics have taken a patient to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition with smoke inhalation.
