A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a man in Cairns this morning.
Police found the man with stab wounds in his back at a White Rock address around 1.30am.
Emergency services tried to revive him, but the man in his 50s died at the scene.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway.
A man in his 60s is assisting police with their enquiries.
