A motorcycle rider has been killed in a crash at Portsmith.
Police say the 69-year-old man crashed the motorcycle into a parked ute at the intersection of Lyons Street and Ray Jones Drive around 8.30am Thursday.
He was taken to Cairns Hospital with critical injuries where he later died.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and is urging any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
It is the fifth road fatality in the Far North in 2023.
