The rescue helicopter has been called to a serious crash at Wangetti.
A person is being assisted after a patient was entrapped following a multi-vehicle crash at Hartley Street and the Captain Cook Highway around 6.30am.
Both lanes on the highway are shut between Ellis Beach and Rex Lookout.
