An investigation is underway after a cat was found with an arrow in it at Mareeba.
Police are trying to find the person responsible for wounding the animal, after officers found the cat on the roof of a Doyle Street address, around 10am Tuesday.
The cat was taken to the vet and is expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone who was in the Doyle Street and Adams Street area between 9.30am and 10.30am, Tuesday who may have witnessed anything or has CCTV footage is urged to contact police.
