What has 40 years of the Cyclone Testing Station taught us?

Today marks the 40th anniversary since the James Cook University Cyclone Testing Station opened. I spoke with the current director of the station, Dr David Henderson about what work he and his team are conducting. Dr Henderson explained that they were testing specific parts of homes in order to formulate better guidelines to make houses cheaper and safer. As insurance premiums are getting to a point in which people cannot afford to insure their home, Dr Henderson gave some advice on what low cost improvements people can do to better prepare their home.
