No body no parole!
The State Government passed legislation last night that means if you get convicted of murder and do not disclose the body’s location you will never get parole. This legislation was moved to give the family of Bruce Schuler some closure by forcing Dianne and Stephen Struber who were convicted of his murder to disclose the location of the body.
The legislation was passed unanimously in the House and I spoke with the LNP’s Tim Mander about why it was passed. Tim explained it was about giving priority to the victims of crime and not rewarding criminals.
Too often our system favour criminals but it looks like this legislation aims to balance the system.
