Time to revamp the city center?

Today I spoke to Gayle Allen, the owner of Frydays, about what needs to change to stop crime in the CBD. Listen below to our discussion.

Gayle has been an outspoken advocate for the city centre over many years and is now calling for the local council to listen to business owners and work together to stop the crime and help rejuvenate the CBD. Recently the Cairns Chamber of Commerce held a breakfast with three top Police Officers on the frontline including Chris Hodgman Acting Chief Superintendent District Disaster Coordinator,  Kev Goan Detective Acting Inspector Crime Patrol Group, and Gary Hunter Acting Inspector Cairns Metro Patrol Group to discuss what action can be taken. We need to keep pushing for the improvement of the CBD.
