A puzzling new case

Today I spoke to Michael Healy, our local member for Cairns, about the lastest COIVID-19 case and other topics affecting our region. Listen below to our discussion.

In the daily update from our local member, he said it looked like the new COVID-19 case was most likely not from community transmission. However, the new case is puzzling authorities. The member for Cairns said Queensland State Health is working hard to find out if it is linked to the Ruby Princess cruise ship even though the incubation period was outside the usual two-week window. Another topic discussed was the convention centre expansion and if local contractors would be awarded the work.
